  • Developing Vision and Awareness

Vision and awareness on the field are critical for making better decisions and finding opportunities. Practice the "head-up dribble" drill: set up 10 cones spaced 1 meter apart and dribble through them while keeping your head up and looking at a teammate or coach who signals a direction or number. Perform this drill for 10 minutes, focusing on maintaining control without looking at the ball.

Small-sided games, such as 3v3 or 4v4, are excellent for improving awareness. Play these games for 10-15 minutes with no set positions, encouraging constant movement and scanning the field. To train your peripheral vision, stand in the center of a circle of teammates, receive passes, and return them while keeping track of your surroundings.
